Phoenix provides four bulk-trash collection opportunities per year, with a ten-cubic-yard limit per residence. Check whether your community already has an appointment before booking individually.
Follow the current set-out instructions: place material within five feet of the street or front property edge, with five feet of clearance from fixed objects. Do not combine neighboring households' piles.
Phoenix requires loose grass, leaves, twigs and clippings to be securely bagged. Its bulk list excludes rocks, dirt, concrete and roofing shingles or tiles; construction material is also subject to tight size and weight restrictions.
For a landscape conversion, estimate the rock or soil separately from plants and old outdoor furniture. Ask a prospective provider whether each material is accepted and whether separate loads would be needed before selecting a dumpster.
Phoenix's household hazardous-waste program offers eligible residential solid-waste customers one home collection per calendar year. Review the accepted-material list and arrange that collection separately from ordinary bulk trash.
Keep product labels available when asking about pool chemicals, paint or garage liquids. Follow the program's packing instructions rather than putting these materials into a dumpster or assuming a general removal crew can take them.
Show the full route from the storage area to the proposed collection point. Gates, courtyard walls, gravel surfaces and parked cars may affect whether a truck can reach the load or a crew must carry it farther.
