Separate Miami bulky items from renovation debris
The City of Miami provides weekly residential bulky collection for household furniture, electronics, appliances and clean yard trash. Prepared material belongs at the property for the scheduled route; it should not obstruct traffic, sidewalks, drainage or collection access.
Roofing, drywall, tiles, cabinets, bathroom fittings, sand, rocks and similar construction or demolition debris are excluded. A renovation in Brickell, Little Havana or Coconut Grove therefore needs a project route even when ordinary furniture from the same address may qualify for bulky service.

Use the resident Mini Dump for the right load
Miami residents can take eligible bulky items and clean yard trash to the City's Mini Dump on NW 20th Street. Proof of City residency is required, the current allowance is one pickup-truck-size trip per day, and commercial vehicles, contractors and contractor material are not accepted.
The facility is useful for a manageable self-hauled sofa, appliance or garden load. It is not the route for household garbage, construction debris, hazardous products, paint, tires, vehicle parts or a business clearout, and the person arriving must be able to unload within the facility rules.

Route chemicals and electronics carefully
Paints, pesticides, solvents, pool chemicals and fluorescent lamps should not be hidden in a dumpster or mixed bulky load. Miami-Dade County operates residential Home Chemical Collection Centers for accepted household hazardous products and certain electronics; those centers do not accept business-generated waste.
Keep original labels where possible, prevent leaks and check the current accepted list before traveling. Commercial chemicals, medical waste, asbestos and uncertain materials need an appropriately authorized specialist rather than a household drop-off assumption.

Plan dumpsters and business waste around Miami access
Private-property placement is generally simpler than occupying a street, sidewalk or other public right-of-way. Confirm truck clearance, gates, loading-space rules, condo or HOA approval and surface protection before arranging a Miami dumpster, especially at dense or managed properties.
Restaurants, offices, apartment operations, shops and contractors need commercial arrangements rather than household collection. Schedule containers so they do not block storm drains, emergency access or loading areas, and avoid placing loose debris out when severe-weather instructions call for clear streets and drains.
