Eligible Urban Services District households can schedule pickup of up to four approved large items. Residents outside that service area should check with their waste hauler rather than assuming the Metro appointment covers the property.
The large-item route is for intact objects, not bags, boxes or loose pieces created by breaking them down. Confirm the items and collection instructions before moving them outside.
Louisville's Waste Reduction Center offers resident allowances for qualifying household items and separate charges for other loads. Confirm the current item limits, vehicle category and payment arrangements before travelling.
Concrete and brick are not accepted. The City's general guidance excludes shingles, while its price list describes a narrow allowance for small shed or doghouse quantities in construction loads. Ask the Center about roofing material directly before including it.
