Active City residential accounts in single-family homes and properties with four or fewer units receive one prescheduled S.W.E.E.P. collection annually. The City also offers paid special pickup when that date does not fit.
Eligible account holders can use McKay Bay for accepted large items. Check the facility's load, vehicle and identification conditions before choosing self-haul; the account benefit alone does not confirm every trip.
S.W.E.E.P. lists toilets and carpet among accepted items but excludes construction materials such as tile, drywall and roofing. It also excludes electronics and household hazardous waste. Confirm a mixed load before set-out.
The published pile limit is 10 cubic yards, with potential extra charges above that amount. Follow the address-specific deadline and preparation instructions rather than leaving material out whenever it becomes ready.
Tampa's yard collection uses approved reusable containers, purpose-made paper yard bags or bundles tied with jute twine. Plastic bags are not accepted, and landscaping companies must remove material from their own work.
Separate soil, rock and heavy project debris from vegetation. For a larger garden job, describe the material breakdown before requesting a container or collection.
For indoor removal, show stairs, elevator arrangements and the path to the loading point. Tampa's household chemical and electronics guidance points eligible residents to selected Hillsborough County facilities; check the current site and acceptance requirements.
