Consider the Sheriff's curbside bulk service
The Davidson County Sheriff's service accepts requests from the homeowner or tenant for their own property. It collects from the front curbside, does not enter private or business property, and excludes eviction loads.
The service allows up to seven business days from the provided start date. Check its detailed item list: furniture and some construction items are listed, but drywall, roofing, concrete and hazardous materials are excluded. Confirm the collection position and preparation directly before setting items outside.
Use the current convenience-center guidance
Convenience centers require a Tennessee driver's license showing Davidson County residency. Residents unload their own material, and commercial waste and commercial vehicles are excluded.
The current Waste Services page lists a maximum of 2 cubic yards for accepted construction and demolition material at Omohundro. This is not blanket acceptance of rubble: the excluded list includes brick, concrete, dirt and roofing shingles. Check current fees and item restrictions before traveling.

Give brush its own collection plan
Metro brush collection serves eligible single-family homes on a rotating schedule. The published route date is a start date, and collection can take one to three weeks. Private streets and separately incorporated cities are outside this service.
Yard waste must not go in ordinary trash carts or dumpsters. Hired tree and landscaping companies must remove the waste they generate. For an alternative route, ask specifically about accepted vegetation rather than combining it with a household cleanout.
Arrange project removal around the address
For loads excluded from public services, request a quote identifying each material and any carrying work. If a dumpster would occupy public right-of-way, check NDOT's permit process before setting delivery dates.
