Mesa offers advance-scheduled bulk pickup for an additional charge. Its page lists rates for both City customers and non-customers; HOA and multi-unit residents should check with the property manager about the applicable service.
A load is approximately 4 by 8 by 4 feet, with at most four loads per appointment. Confirm the quantity and charge before setting anything out.
Cactus goes in small cardboard boxes. Branches require tied bundles within the City's preparation limits; loose lightweight yard material also needs containment. Check the instructions against the actual pile.
Refrigerators, stoves and washers use the appliance-recycling route. Construction and remodeling material, including tile, concrete, drywall and lumber, is excluded from bulk pickup.
For a landscape redesign, estimate soil and rock separately from vegetation. A photograph of the finished pile helps, but also describe what is underneath it and whether material will continue to accumulate.
Measure the gate and show the approach from the street, overhead obstructions and available standing surface. Ask the operator to confirm delivery and retrieval access for the proposed container. For public right-of-way use, contact the City's permit staff before delivery.
If furniture remains indoors, include the rooms, stairs, doorways and dismantling required. A price for items already at the driveway does not describe a crew emptying the house.
